Amid the persisting family disputes involving Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his estranged wife, Aaliya Siddiqui, a significant development has emerged. Aaliya Siddiqui has received a notice from a special Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) court in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, in connection with a molestation case she had filed against the actor and his family.
In 2020, Aaliya Siddiqui registered a First Information Report (FIR) against members of Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s family, alleging that Nawazuddin’s brother, Minazuddin Siddiqui, had allegedly molested a minor family member in 2012, with the purported support of other family members. Subsequently, following a thorough investigation, law enforcement authorities cleared all the accused, including the acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and filed a final report in the case.
Now, the POCSO court has summoned Aaliya Siddiqui to appear before it to respond to the police’s final report in the case. This development adds a new dimension to the ongoing legal and personal conflicts between Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Aaliya Siddiqui, which have been widely reported on in the media.
The Siddiqui couple’s divorce proceedings have garnered significant public attention earlier this year. The controversy started when Aaliya Siddiqui accused her estranged husband of abuse and claimed that he had misused his influence. Furthermore, Aaliya Siddiqui faced a separate legal issue when she received a deportation notice from the Dubai Government due to alleged non-payment of rent. The Rental Disputes Centre issued a notice demanding eviction from the residence where Aaliya resides with her children and sought payment of 27,183.00 dirhams in rental arrears.
