It is the era of Dimple Kapadia and we are just living in it! After mesmerising fans with her stellar performance in Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, the veteran actress is all set to make her OTT debut with Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo. Adding a modern twist to the popular TV soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo is a show where women take the baton, hold guns and do the killing.
SAAS BAHU AUR FLAMINGO TRAILER OUT
The trailer of Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo was unveiled on April 12. Releasing on Disney+ Hotstar, the show marks Dimple Kapadia’s debut in the OTT space. The trailer begins with the happy tune of once-popular TV soap, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Just when we are made to think it might be just another family drama, Dimple Kapadia enters with a gun and shoots someone amid a family get-together. And Radhika Madan is unperturbed by all that’s happening. And that’s when you know this is much more than a family drama.
Sharing the same, Disney+ Hotstar’s official Instagram handle mentioned, “Chetaavani: Yeh kamajor dil vaalon ke liye nahin hai! Kripaya na dekhein.Kyun? Kyunki (sic).”
Dimple Kapadia recently spoke about Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, she said, “Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo is a story of what makes ordinary people extraordinary in a world full of passion and chaos. It’s a bunch of bad-ass women telling a narrative, which is often played only by male characters and believe me, it’s got some of the most colourful characters you’ll ever see. The show is as wild as my crazy director Homi Adajania’s mind. He has flipped a family drama on its head.”
Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo is directed by Homi Adjania and produced by Dinesh Vijan. It streams from May 5.
