Representing the Delhi Police, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta added, “however, if Your Lordships feel FIR should be registered immediately, there is no difficulty”.
A day after the Supreme Court issued notice on a plea seeking registration of FIR against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh over allegations of sexual harassment, the Delhi Police Wednesday sought more time in order to complete preliminary inquiry. The matter will be heard on April 28.
Representing the Delhi Police, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said, “We prima facie feel that it may need some preliminary inquiry before we register FIR”.
