Former Minister Ashutosh Tandon Gopal, who served in the Uttar Pradesh government, breathed his last on Thursday. He was undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital, where he succumbed to his illness. Tandon was currently serving as the Member of Legislative Assembly from the Eastern constituency of Lucknow.
The late leader had been battling a prolonged illness and was admitted to the hospital in July for medical care. During that time, he was also placed under ICU support. Although there were some improvements in his health subsequently, a deterioration in his condition led to his readmission to the hospital.
The demise of Ashutosh Tandon Gopal is a significant loss for the political landscape of Uttar Pradesh. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) mourns the passing of a dedicated leader who has contributed immensely to public service.
