After Turkey was hit by three consecutive earthquakes of magnitude 7.8, 7.6 and 6.0 on Monday, another earthquake of magnitude 5.9 was reported in central Turkey on Tuesday. Dozens of nations, including India, have pledged aid and assistance to the two nations.
Death toll in Syria rises to 1,451
The death toll in Syria from the earthquakes has risen to 1,451. Out of the 1,451 that have been confirmed dead, 740 were reported in the opposition-controlled areas according to stats given by the White Helmets. The remaining 711 were reported by regime media in the regime-controlled areas.
