CM Yogi and Cabinet Minister offer prayers ahead of historic Cabinet meeting in Ayodhya

oday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with his esteemed cabinet colleagues, commenced the day with divine blessings at the Hanuman Garhi temple in Ayodhya. The spiritual prelude marked the beginning of a momentous day as the Uttar Pradesh cabinet gears up for its historic meeting at the Ramkatha Museum.

The cabinet’s decision to convene in Ayodhya holds particular significance as the city anticipates the grand opening of the Ram temple in January next year. Notably, November 9 is a date etched in history, as it marks the day when the Supreme Court delivered its landmark verdict in the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi case in 2019, paving the way for the construction of the Ram Temple.

This marks the first instance of the state’s executive body gathering in the sacred city, and the Ramkatha Museum has been adorned with grandeur to host the cabinet meeting. The meeting hall itself features posters of Lord Shri Ram and Lord Hanuman, adding a divine ambiance to the proceedings.

Key highlights of the day include:

  1. Visit to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir Construction Site: CM Yogi Adityanath and cabinet colleagues visited the construction site of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya, offering prayers at the revered Ram Lala temple.
  2. Security Measures: Massive security arrangements, including deployment of the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) across the city, ensure the safety and smooth conduct of the cabinet meeting.
  3. Historical Decisions: Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak announced that the cabinet is poised to make historical decisions, and Deepotsav ahead of Diwali will be celebrated with full grandeur.
  4. Diwali Record-Breaking Illumination: Cabinet Minister Jaiveer Singh revealed plans to set a new record by illuminating more than 21 lakh diyas in Ayodhya on November 11, surpassing last year’s Guinness World Record.
  5. Endorsement from Religious Leaders: Chief priest Acharya Satyendra Das and former litigant Iqbal Ansari welcomed the government’s decision to hold the meeting in Ayodhya.

  8. Ayodhya Deepotsav: Ayodhya’s Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University Administration is set to illuminate the ghats of Ayodhya by lighting 24 lakh lamps on Diwali, aiming to set a world record.

The Uttar Pradesh government’s ambitious target is to light 21 lakh lamps, creating a historic moment that resonates with the spirit of unity and celebration.
