In a devastating incident, two individuals lost their lives after being struck by a speeding car in the Sirauli area. The unfortunate incident occurred on Sunday night, sending shockwaves through the community.
The victims have been identified as Purshottam Das, 35, and Vishal Kumar, 19, both residents of Hardaspur village in the region. They were diligently tending to their field to safeguard their crops from stray cattle when tragedy struck.
According to Rajesh Maurya, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Sirauli Police Station, the incident unfolded as a speeding car collided with the two farmers while they were resting by the roadside. The impact was so severe that they were dragged beneath the vehicle for a distance of more than 10 meters before the car ultimately came to a halt in a ditch. Tragically, both Purshottam Das and Vishal Kumar lost their lives on the spot.
