Uttar Pradesh Aims for Sixth Guinness World Record with Spectacular Deepotsav in Ayodhya .

The Uttar Pradesh government is gearing up to set its sixth Guinness World Record by illuminating the spiritual city of Ayodhya with a magnificent display of 24 lakh earthen diyas during the upcoming Deepotsav celebration on November 11, 2023. This grand spectacle will encompass 47 ghats across Ayodhya, including the iconic Ram Ki Paidi.

To achieve this remarkable feat, the Ayodhya administration has taken a proactive approach by enlisting the support of 25,000 volunteers from Ram Manohar Lohia Awadh University, Ayodhya, and its affiliated colleges. These dedicated volunteers will play a pivotal role in making the event a resounding success.

In a recent meeting presided over by Vice-chancellor of Awadh University, Prof. Pratibha Goyal, principals from various degree colleges in Ayodhya gathered to discuss the logistics and preparations for the event. During the meeting, Prof. Goyal emphasized the importance of finalizing the list of volunteers by September 30 to ensure seamless coordination and execution of the grand Deepotsav.

The Deepotsav holds a special significance this year, as it coincides with the ongoing construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who graced the Deepotsav in Ayodhya as the chief guest in October 2022, will once again be a part of the festivities. This year’s Deepotsav will be particularly momentous, as PM Modi is scheduled to preside over the grand opening ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya in January.

The upcoming Deepotsav promises to be a historic and visually captivating event, setting a new Guinness World Record while celebrating the cultural and spiritual heritage of Ayodhya.
