The Government of Uttar Pradesh is gearing up to host Krishi Kumbh 2.0, slated to take place in the second week of December, with ambitious plans to elevate it into a global agricultural extravaganza, as announced by state officials on Saturday.
In a comprehensive review meeting held on Saturday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the importance of ensuring the participation of every district within the state and every state across the nation in the forthcoming Uttar Pradesh Krishi Kumbh 2.0. He articulated that this collective engagement will serve as a platform to showcase the best agricultural practices and innovations. The primary objective is to empower the state’s farmers with the latest agricultural technologies and practices, enhancing their prosperity.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated, “This event will provide information on technology and innovation being adopted in the agriculture sector across the world, spanning from seeds to markets.” The government envisions Krishi Kumbh 2.0 as an unparalleled opportunity to facilitate knowledge transfer, ensuring that farmers benefit from the global advancements in agriculture.
The event is anticipated to draw a massive gathering, with over 2 lakh farmers, participation from 10 partner countries, and more than 500 national and international companies and institutions expected to join the second edition of Krishi Kumbh. Chief Minister Adityanath has called upon the honorable ministers of the Government of India, reputable national and international companies and institutions operating in agriculture and related sectors, all agricultural universities, agricultural science centers, and forward-thinking farmers to actively partake in this grand agricultural showcase.
