A heart-wrenching incident unfolded in Fatehpur village, Deoria district, Uttar Pradesh, where six individuals, including five members of a family, lost their lives in a violent dispute stemming from an almost decade-old land dispute. The incident occurred on Monday morning, sending shockwaves throughout the region.
The victims of this unfortunate and tragic incident include a former zila panchayat member, Mr. Prem Yadav (53), who was brutally attacked and killed with blunt objects by his rival, Mr. Satya Prakash Dubey, along with members of the Dubey family, when Mr. Yadav visited his own property.
According to local law enforcement authorities, these tragic events unfolded within a span of less than 30 minutes, and it has resulted in the detention of 14 individuals thus far. Given the gravity of the situation and the historical tension between the two communities involved in this dispute, a heavy police deployment has been initiated in the village to maintain law and order.
Despite the ongoing legal proceedings regarding the land dispute, the situation took a violent turn on Monday morning around 7:30 AM when Mr. Prem Yadav ventured to inspect the land he had purchased, located in proximity to Mr. Satya Prakash’s residence. A heated altercation arose between the two parties after Mr. Satya Prakash made disparaging remarks against Mr. Yadav. Tragically, this confrontation escalated to violence, and Mr. Yadav lost his life as a result of the attack.
As news of this brutal murder spread through the village, a group of approximately 10-15 individuals subsequently marched to Mr. Satya Prakash’s residence, where they carried out a horrifying attack on him and his family members using sharp weapons. This gruesome attack led to the untimely deaths of Mr. Satya Prakash (54), his wife Kiran Dubey (52), daughters Saloni (17) and Nandani (10), and son Gandhi (15). Another son, Anmol (8), suffered critical injuries and was admitted to the hospital.
The local authorities are diligently investigating this tragic incident, and it is imperative to maintain peace and harmony within the community during this challenging time.
